Frequently asked questions.

Proper Candle Care

  • Trim the wick to 1/4" before each burn using a pair of scissors or a wick trimmer. This will ensure a cleaner and brighter burn with less black, sooty wick residue.

  • Your first burn needs to be 3-4 hours in order to achieve a complete even melt pool. A full melt pool will reduce the chances of the candle tunneling, which is excess wax build-up on the side of your Jar.

  • At no time should a burning candle be left unattended or at the reach of children and pets

  • Avoid at all costs burning your candle near anything that has the ability to catch fire.

  • Be sure to place your candle on a stable, and heat-resistant surface

  • Avoid moving a burning candle when the wax is in liquid form.

Why Soy Wax?

While paraffin wax is refined from crude oil, soy wax is made from soybeans- a completely renewable resource grown here in the US. Compared to paraffin, soy wax burns cleaner and releases no harsh chemicals. Soy wax also burns slower, making the candle last longer.

Are your fragrances phthalate-free?

All our fragrances are phthalate-free. Phthalates are used to dissolve raw materials in apothecary goods, medicine, and fragrances. While there are no regulations against phthalate use in candles, we decided not to take part in using any fragrances with phthalates in them. There is no better feeling than burning a candle with no health concern involved!

Do you or your suppliers test on animals?

We are proud to report that our suppliers do not engage in animal testing and support cruelty free alternatives.

Why is my candle Mushrooming?

Wick Mushrooming occurs as a result of carbon buildup, where the flame takes up more wax than it can burn. It can also be a result of a candle burning for a prolonged period of time. To resolve this, just simply trim the black cap of the wick and your next burn will be as glowy as it should be.

Why is the top of the candle bumpy after cooling?

This is a normal feature of soy wax. It occurs when hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate. This does not affect the performance of the candle.
